Le concept “One health” considère que la santé des personnes est connectée à la santé des animaux et de l’environnement. L’initiative One Health encourage des efforts de collaboration entre diverses disciplines
travaillant localement, au niveau national et même international dans le but d’assurer une meilleure santé pour les personnes, les animaux et l’environnement.
Ce concept est donc une stratégie mondiale visant à développer les collaborations interdisciplinaires et les communications dans tous les aspects des soins de santé pour les humains, les animaux et l'environnement.
